Every leader needs a PLAN.

Every week, hurting people sit in our churches — grieving a loss, carrying a diagnosis, watching a marriage strain, battling anxiety, or quietly losing hope. They rarely need an expert first. They need a prepared, present, prayerful person who knows how to enter their pain and walk with them toward Christ.

PLAN is a four-part framework that equips care partners to do exactly that. It is not a formula or a counseling degree in miniature. It is a set of postures and practices, rooted in Scripture, that shape how ordinary believers have extraordinary conversations.

“The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out.”

Proverbs 20:5 (ESV)

Who this is for

Care partners — lay men and women trained to walk alongside hurting members — as well as pastors, deacons, small group leaders, and anyone a struggling person might turn to first. No counseling background is assumed.

How this course works

Five lessons, read at your own pace. Each of the four PLAN letters breaks into short readings you can finish in a few minutes, with a Scripture anchor and reflection questions. Work through it alone, or as a care team.

The next step after Caring Like Christ: that series teaches the calling; this one teaches the method.
